Green.
Not the color of our current grass here in NY,….but let’s be honest…We are lucky to even SEE the ground at this point! Arctic Tundra seems to have finally moved on! I mean we’ve been in double digits for over a week now!

Green.
The color of Lady Liberty….sculpted by a certain french man named Frederic Auguste Bartholdi, who can still be seen to this day wandering around Liberty Island. He carries with him the blueprints for the Statue of Liberty, and he’ll have a conversation with you, answer questions, and is all around worth talking to during your visit. More importantly. Bartholdi and I share a birthday.

Green.
The color of the new taxi cabs in NYC! Available to pick up everywhere, EXCEPT where we tourists spend the majority of our time, south of W 110th Street and East 96th, oh, and the airports. However, they can drop off anywhere!

Green.
The color my family dyes the milk for breakfast on St. Patrick’s Day.

Green.
How New York City is trying to go. New York City boasts more than 519 million square feet of green building space and currently ranks number one among U.S. cities in reducing energy use and increasing efficiency through the LEED certification program. Or so the interwebs tell us.

Green.
The color of one of the NY Football Teams. My choice of teams. And yes….both the Giants and the J-E-T-S. Jets. Jets. Jets. DO play in NEW JERSEY!

Green.
Speaking of New Jersey….did you know it is the GARDEN STATE? Those are green.

Green.
The color that the Empire Statue Building will be on March 17, to honor St. Patrick’s Day. The color changes almost daily depending on holidays, sports, and quite frankly whomever has paid for the color, so when you are stuck for a gift….you could always just light up the Empire State Building in honor of your loved ones…..

Green.
Rachel’s last name on “Friends”….which was filmed in Los Angeles. Lies. We’ve been fed lies. But no worries….the outside of the building is really in New York City. It’s down in the Village on the corner of Bedford and Grove. Go enjoy….and be dismayed when you realize there is no Central Perk either….I still am.

And finally…..

Green.
The color of EVERYTHING on St. Patrick’s Day. Mayhap’s the inspiration for this blog. The Parade starts at 11am at 44th Street, marching up Fifth Avenue—past St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 50th Street—and then all the way to the American Irish Historical Society at East 80th Street. I’m not saying it’s NY’s proudest display of humans, but…..
